The IGSS Update program stops just after showing the message “Connecting to server…”. What can I do to solve the problem?
The problem is probably caused by your proxy server. Check the log file located in [IGSS InstallPath]\Gss\Updates\Updateigss.log. If it has the following message:
“Error fetching update list from server: The underlying connection was closed: Unable to connect to the remote server.”
the problem is caused by the proxy server.
To enable proxy support, please do the following:
- Open the file [IGSS InstallPath]\Gss\Config\Igssupdateconfig.txt in Notepad.
- Insert a new line with the http address of your proxy server, for example, “http://proxy.company.com“
- Save the file and start the IGSS Update program again.
