When I install a new printer and set it as the default printer under Windows, IGSS cannot find it. What’s wrong with my system?
For some printers, we’ve seen a problem when a new printer is installed and set as the default printer. When you try to print, IGSS cannot find the new printer.
The solution is to enter the Windows Registry to modify some settings as described below.
- Select “Start” > “Run”, type “Regedit” and press ENTER.
- Open the branch named: HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > 7-Technologies > IGSS32 > V3.00.00 > DefRun32.
- Delete the “Printer Name” and “PrinterDevMode” values.
After the first use of the new printer, the above values are re-established and you should be able to print normally.
