FAQ Question
The first time you run an IGSS standard report you may get some security warnings from Microsoft Access warning you about unsafe code and asking if you trust programs digitally signed by 7-Technologies.
Answer
To avoid these warnings, you have to do the following:
Make sure you have installed all Microsoft security updates for Microsoft Office 2003 and Windows.
Make sure you have accepted to always trust programs digitally signed by 7-Technologies.
When this has been done you will typically not see any more warnings. However, in some cases you may end up with one security warning left saying:
“Unsafe expression are not blocked. Do you want to block unsafe expressions”
If this is the case, you have to create a value in the Windows registry. Using RegEdit to go to the following key.
On x86 based operating systems: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Access\Security
On x64 based operating systems: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Access\Security
The security key may not exist. If not, it must be created.
Under the security key DWORD, the value “Level” should be created (if it does not already exist) and set to 1.
Next time the IGSS standard reports will run without any security warnings.
