Visibility

Now you see me...

To design diagrams with situational awareness in mind IGSS makes it easy to show or hide descriptors pending the state of an object.

Examples of use

Visibility may be used for many different purposes, here are a few examples:

  • Hide special info until needed.
  • Highlight something when an alarm needs attention.
  • Only show some controls in situations they are meaningful.
  • Create custom alarm indication.

All this keeps the diagram free of noise and irrelevant information while the system is running normally.

The illustration shows how simple it is to define visibility for a descriptor.

This descriptor will only be shown when the motor object is in a Stop-state.
