To enhance plant overview capability, IGSS comes with an event registration function, making it possible to display events in a manner similar to the alarm list. In addition to a series of predefined events from which the user can choose, it’s also possible to set up a variety of user-defined events in accordance with specific needs.

Standard events that can be selected are, among others:

• System start/stop.
• User login/logout.
• Writing stopped/started (to data files).

User-defined events could include, among others:

• Pump start/stop.
• Batch start/stop.
• Flow setpoints not synchronized.

Events can be set up in Design mode and in Runtime mode.
