Interface Description
IGSS32 offers an interface for the MJK Data Transmitter 795 equipment using COMLI protocol. COMLI is a master slave protocol that can be used in both point-to-point and in multidrop configurations. The IGSS32 driver implements direct point-to-point, dialled-up and radio connections to Data Transmitter 795.
The Data Transmitter 795 is an intelligent unit for acquisition, storing and transmission of digital and analogue signals. The Data Transmitter is developed for use with SCADA systems, such as IGSS32, for supervision of e.g. pump stations, purification plants, fresh water plants etc.
The communication interface is also capable of reading historical sampled data in Data Transmitter 795, thus making it possible to make reports and show graphs of signals stored in the 795 eventhough it is not directly connected all the time (e.g. in dialled-up configurations).
The IGSS32 system polls the PLC equipment cyclically according to one of four user-defined time intervals. The time intervals are configurable from 100 milliseconds to 999 seconds. The system automatically groups process data in data blocks – thus fully exploiting the the communication link in relation to the present configuration.
