Igss component library

Exporting components to library

In version 16 of the IGSS SCADA System, it is now possible to create complex descriptors where you can combine Objects and other descriptors together and add them to a Library.

This allows System Integrators to have library of components which can be used in different projects.

After designing a complex descriptor, the designer can than select all parts used for the complex descriptor and Group them all together. After grouping, select the group and go to File then click on Add to Library.

This is a Grouped Descriptor. It is Combined with different descriptors and connected to the same object.

An Add Graphic to Library dialog will open, now simply type the name you wish to save the complex descriptor with and click on save.

Importing components from library

If a System Integrator wishes to use one of the exported complex descriptors from the library, the procedure is to go to File menu in definition click on Library and select the component to use and click Open.

All the components are visually represented as an .png in the import dialog, in order for the system integrator to have better overview of their components in their respective library.

Component library. Build your own library of different complex descriptors and share with your colleagues.

After clicking Open a Resolve Naming dialog will appear. Here a system integrator will be given 3 options to resolve naming issues.

  • Create object with same name (Only if Object does not exists).
  • Use existing object name (If the object exists and you would like to use the same object).
  • Enter new object name (If you would like to have a completely new name for the object).

In order for the system integrator to load the component into definition press the OK button in the Resolve Naming dialog.
