The Property Table Viewer form

Use this form to gain an overview of the objects, descriptors in a diagram or in an area. You can also gain an overview of the object and descriptorA descriptor is the graphical display of an object. IGSS includes many types of descriptors including: - Built-in standard symbols - Animated symbols (Symbol Factory library) - Graphics and animation - Drawing symbols - Windows controls - ActiveX controls An IGSS object can be represented with different descriptors on different diagrams. properties as well as update the properties for one or more descriptors.

• The diagram Property Table View form displays all objects, descriptors and their properties located in a diagram.
• The area Property Table View form displays all objects and descriptors and their properties that are placed in an area.
• The Alarm Property Table View form displays all alarm texts, alarm number and their properties.
• The Object Template Property Table View form displays all object template and descriptor properties for all areas in the configuration, including the Global area.
• The Sub-diagram Property Table View form displays all objects and descriptors and their properties located in a sub-diagram of an embedded diagram.

The object and descriptor properties displayed in the Property Table View form are the same properties that can be accessed in the Object Properties form in the diagram.

The Property Table View form presents all the properties in cells in a table-format. This enables you to gain an overview of the properties, filter the cells as well as change the values of the properties, either individually or by selected cells. Editable cells are displayed with a clear black font while cells that cannot be edited are displayed in a light gray font.

Some object and descriptor properties are only accessible through the Property Table View form, for example the Lockeddescriptor property and the position properties (X,Y coordinates) in the diagram.

You only edit existing objects or descriptor properties in the Property Table View form.

You cannot create new objects or descriptors in the form.

Where do I find it?

In the Definition module:

The Diagram Property Table View form:

• Right-click and select Property Table View in the active diagram
• Press CTRL + H in the active diagram
• Click Diagram > Property Table View

The Area Property Table View form

• Press CTRL + SHIFT + H in the active diagram
• Click Diagram > Property Table View

The Alarm Property Table View form:

• Click Edit > Alarm Texts > Property Table View button.

The Object Template Property Table View form

• Click Template > Edit > Property Table View button

Navigating the form

The Left and Right Panes

The Property Table View form is divided into two panes - a small left pane and a larger right pane.

• Left Pane: Displays the categories of the object and descriptor properties in a tree-view which enables you to navigate the properties.
  
  
  
  The object and descriptor categories will vary depending on the objects and descriptors present in the configuration.
• Right pane: Displays the properties of the objects or descriptors as cells in a table-format with grey column and row headers as well as a Filter row. This enables you to specify filters for columns and to select multiple properties (cells) to edit.

Menu Options

The following menu options are accessible from the menu toolbar of the Property Table View form.

Name	Location	Description
Export as .CSV	File	Exports a selection of properties (cells) from the right pane to a comma-separated (.CSV) file which can be opened in other 3rd party programs such as spreadsheets, word editors to text editors for analysis purposes. You can only export properties as a .csv file. It is not possible to import a comma-separated file into the Property Table View form.
Exit	File	Closes the Property Table View form.
Undo	Edit	Undo the last action performed in the Property Table View form. The Property Table View form updates the object when the mouse activate another the property (cell). Sometimes it will not be possible to undo an action.
Redo	Edit	Repeat the last action which was undone. The Property Table View form updates the object when the mouse activate another the property (cell). Sometimes it will not be possible to undo an action.
Copy	Edit	Copies a selection of properties (cells) from the right pane to the Windows clipboard which can be pasted into other 3rd party programs such as spreadsheets, word editors to text editors for analysis and editing purposes.
Copy with Header	Edit	Copies a selection of properties (cells)with the column headers from the right pane to the Windows clipboard which can be pasted into other 3rd party programs such as spreadsheets, word editors to text editors for analysis and editing purposes.
Paste	Edit	Pastes the contents of the windows clipboard into the Property Table View form. When pasting from the clipboard, the clipboard contents will be inserted from the anchor cell. The selection you are pasting into the table must contain the same number or less of the rows and/or columns available in the table. You can copy column headers to the clipboard but you cannot paste column headers from the clipboard.
Find and Replace	Edit	Find a text or the number of occurrences of a text in all the cells or a selection of cells. You can also replace a text or number with another text or number in all the cells or a selection of cells.
Refresh	Filter	Reloads the Property Table View form and rereads any applied column filters.
Clear all filters	Filter	Clears all defined filters from the filter row in the right pane.
