Searching the Property Table View form

You can search the Property Table View form to find and replace texts and numbers in cells. You can search all the cells of the entire Property Table View form or just the cells you select, for example searching only the cells in several selected columns or rows.

Only the cells displayed in the right pane of the Property Table View form are traversed by the search.

Search direction

The search direction is forward through the cells, meaning top to bottom and left to right. The search will start in the topmost, leftmost cell of the Property Table View form and then search downwards through cells of the present column before continuing in the columns to the right of the starting column.

The cells are traversed by the search functionality once only. If you want to search the cells again, select the cell in the upper left hand corner and click the Find Next button again.

Search hints

 

Only editable cells in the Property Table View form are traversed during the search.

Editable cells are displayed with a clear black font while cells that cannot be edited are displayed in a light gray font.

Wildcards and special characters

The search and replace functionality for the Property Table View form does not utilize wild card searches or special characters. The search will find all occurrences of the target text, including cell texts which contain the target text.

Casing and searching

By default, the search will ignore character casing, but you can select the Match Case check box to differentiate between upper-case and lower case letters.

Searching for "pump" will find the following cell texts

If you select the Match case checkbox, searching for "pump" will only find the following cell texts:
