Diagram function keys
Up to 24 function keys can be assigned for each diagram to provide an easy way of activating frequently used operations, such as opening another diagram, a graph, etc.
If the function key operates on one of the object types, digital, analog, counter or table, you even have the possibility to send a value or command to the object.
Up to 24 function keys may be defined for each diagram.
During supervision the function keys defined as 1 - 12 are activated with
the keys F1 through F12, while the keys defined as
13 - 24 are activated with shift
+ F13 to F24.
A maximum of 15 of the 24 possible function keys may have
a value or a command attached per diagram.
24 global function keys may be defined which are
global to the entire project.
Note that F1 is used to access context-sensitive Help. If you assign a function to this key, it will override the access to Help
Defining function keys
When you create a new diagram, or edit an existing one, in the Diagram Properties form, click the Function Key Assignment tab and select the Enable Function Keys box and assign the individual function keys.

Sending commands and values
For objects of the type digital, analog, table or counter, the operator can send a value or command to the selected object via a function key. After having selected the appropriate object, you choose the relevant atom in the Index list and a value or command in the Command/Value list.
