Re-size a symbol descriptor

If you use a standard symbol as an object descriptorA descriptor is the graphical display of an object. IGSS includes many types of descriptors including: - Built-in standard symbols - Animated symbols (Symbol Factory library) - Graphics and animation - Drawing symbols - Windows controls - ActiveX controls An IGSS object can be represented with different descriptors on different diagrams., you can re-size the symbol either by dragging the corners of the symbol or by manually changing symbol's height and width.

You must enable re-sizing for the specific symbol descriptor before you can re-size it.

Re-size an individual symbol descriptor

From the diagram

Select the symbol descriptor. Using the mouse, select a vertex and drag the symbol to the size you want.

You can also enter new descriptor width and height values in the W and H fields of the Position and Size Toolbar.

If the Position and Size toolbar is not displayed in the module, click View > Position and Size Toolbar to display. By default, the toolbar will be displayed at the bottom of the Definition module.

Re-size multiple symbol descriptors

From the diagram

Press Shift +left mouse button to select multiple symbol descriptors. Using the mouse, select a vertex and drag the symbols to the size you want.

You can not enter new width and height values in the W and H fields of the Position and Size Toolbar as the W and H fields in the Position and Size Toolbar will define the entire area encompassed by the selected descriptors.

Using the Property Table View form

In the Definition module, right-click the diagram and select Property Table View to open the Property Table View form for diagrams. You can also press CTRL+H or in the Definition menu, click Diagram > Property Table View.
In the left pane of the Property Table View form, click Descriptors > Icons > Connected to open a list of all the symbols (icons) that are connected to objects in the diagram.
In the Width column and Height columns of the right pane of the Property Table View form, press CTRL + left mouse button in the cells to select the descriptors you want to re-size.

If the rows are adjacent, you can select all by pressing SHIFT + left mouse button.
In the Width column, click one of the selected cells and enter a new descriptor width. Press Enter to update the width for all the selected descriptors.
In the Height column, click one of the selected cells and enter a new descriptor height. Press Enter to update the width for all the selected descriptors.
Click File > Exit to close the Property Table View form.

You can also use the Area Property Table View form instead of the Diagram Property Table View form. Click Area > Property Table View or press CTRL+SHIFT+H to open the Property Table Viewform for the active area.

You cannot select multiple descriptors in the Definition module and then open the Property Table View form with all the descriptors selected. The Property Table View form only retains the last selected (Primary Selection) descriptor.
