Definition and use
To reduce configuration time and the number of diagrams, IGSS supports reusable diagrams.
A reusable diagram is designed to be used when you want to create multiple diagrams that are identical with the exception of the underlying process components. The diagram itself will include all the static elements and the graphical references to the IGSS objects. All the underlying process components will be created as Group objects in the configuration.
An example could be a configuration with 30 identical motors all requiring the same parameters.
Operator usage
When the configuration is running, the operator is presented with a choice as to which set of process components the operator wants to view when the reusable diagram is opened. All the Group objects, which are different sets of otherwise identical process components like pump stations, are brought up in a list.
The operator selects the Group object to be displayed. The reusable diagram will be populated with the process components from the selected group, creating a Group Diagram.

It is also possible to refer to a Group from a button on an overview diagram. The button will select the objects from the specified Group on the Reusable Diagram.
The Reusable diagram setting is found on all diagrams created in an IGSS configuration.
