Popup diagrams in a multiple screen environment
In a multiple screen environment, if a diagram or graph has been defined to open via a reference it will always open on the primary screen, also when the Handle as Single screen function is enabled.
To avoid this, you can select the Popup checkbox for a diagram or graph. The diagram or graph will open on the same screen as the reference that was used to open them.
This setting is only valid when the Handle as Single screen function is enabled from the Multi-Screen Setup dialog box.
Placement of popup diagrams
The diagrams are placed on the screen as defined by the diagram coordinates in the Diagram Properties form.
If the popup diagram is opened by a reference on another screen, the popup diagram will be opened at the same relative position as defined for the popup diagram for the primary screen. Thus if a popup diagram was set up to open in the middle of the primary screen, a button on the secondary screen referencing the popup diagram will open the diagram in the middle of the secondary screen.
Popup diagrams in a multiple screen environment and Panning
When opening popup diagrams in the Supervise module in a multiple screen environment using the Panning functionality, you can position the popup diagrams to open to the right of the reference (e.g. a button) that opens the diagram instead of using the placement settings for the popup diagram. To enable this:
-
Open the Supervise module.
-
Select the Supervise & Language tab.
-
Set the Show popup diagram / graphto Next to reference. Ignore defined position .
If there is insufficient space to position the popup diagram to the right, the diagram till be positioned to the left of the referencing element instead.
