You can define analog, table and counter object templates to be used for objects which share several properties. Note that the Object Template Properties form is exactly the same as for normal objects of those types.
Define object templates in the Global area to make them available in all areas.
You can define digital alarms and template symbols for analog object templates.
You can define template symbols for Counter and Table object templates.
Define any calculations that are to be contained in the analog, table or counter object templates and adjust the calculations when creating objects based on the object templates.
Calculations defined on the analog, table or counter object templates will not be verified during the compile process of the template or the configuration.
Previously defined objects based on an analog, table or counter object template are not affected by changes to the object template properties.
Once you have created the object template, select the relevant item in the Objects menu, type a unique name for the new object and choose the object template you want to base it on.
In the Object Properties form, you need only type the specific PLC address, provided that all other properties are defined in the object template.
