Create an Embedded Alarm list in a Faceplate
You can display an embedded alarm list in a faceplate diagram and use filters in the embedded alarm list to display specific alarms only.
The embedded alarm list can only be placed in the faceplate master diagram and will display alarms from all objects in the configuration. You can define and apply filters to allow operators to display alarms from specific objects in the embedded alarm list.
Use the following filter condition to display faceplate objects1 in the faceplate:
- Property: Object Name
- Condition: Is exact
- Value: Master Object
1Only faceplate objects that have been mapped in the Object list in the Faceplates form will be selected by this alarm list filter.
To create an Embedded Alarm List in a Faceplate
- In the Faceplate Master, click Objects > Standard Descriptors > Embedded Alarm List to create a new embedded alarm list descriptor.
You can use the Drawing Toolbar to create a new embedded alarm list descriptor. - Position the new embedded alarm list descriptor in the Faceplate Master diagram.
- Right-click the embedded alarm list descriptor and click Properties to open the Embedded Alarm List Properties form.
- In the Filters group of the Embedded Alarm List Properties form, click the Add button to open the Defining Filters form.
- In Filter name field on the Defining Filters form, enter a unique name for the filter.
- In the Edit Condition group, create the following filter condition:
- Property: Select: "Object Name" from the drop-down list.
- Condition:Select: "Is exact" from the drop-down list.
- Value: Enter the Master Object name in the field.
- Click the Add button to submit the filter condition to the filter.
- Click the OK button to save and close the Defining Filters form.
- Click the OK button to save and close the Embedded Alarm List Properties form.
Select the Default check box in the Filters group to set the alarm selected in the Filters group as the default alarm.
Clear the Show filters check box in the Options group to prevent operators from selecting other filters in the Supervise module.
