Delete a graph
In the following is described different methods of deleting a graph:
Be aware that any descriptors connected to a graph will be deleted when the graph is deleted.
If the graph is displayed in the Graph menu
- In the Definition module -> Graph menu, select the graph you want to delete. The graph you just selected is opened and active.

In the Definition module -> Graph menu, select Delete to delete the open graph.
If the graph is not displayed in the Graph menu
Using the Graph menu
- In the Definition module -> Graph menu, select Open to open the Object Browser form.
- In the right pane of the Object Browser form, locate the graph you want to delete, right-click and select Delete.
Using the Object Browser form
- In the Definition module, click Edit -> Object browser (or press CTRL+E) to open the Object Browser form .
- In the left pane of the Object Browser form, open the Graph object type to display all graph objects in the right pane.
- In the right pane of the Object Browser form, locate the graph you want to delete, right-click and select Delete.
Using a referencing descriptor
- In the Definition module, locate the diagram which contains a descriptor or graph object symbol that references the graph you want to delete.
- Right-click the descriptor or graph object symbol and select Delete (or press Delete to open the Delete Objects form.
- In the Delete objects form > Object field, select the check box with the name of the graph you want to delete and click OK.
Any other descriptors that reference the graph will also be deleted.
If you clear the check box with the name of the graph you want to delete, only the selected descriptor or graph object symbol will be deleted.
Using an Embedded Graph displayed as part of a diagram
- Mark the embedded graph and press the Delete key, or right-click on the graph and select Delete…
- Click Yes if you are sure that you want to delete – or No if you are not.
