User defined symbols as "Animated Symbols"

The extensive built-in symbol library of IGSS, offering 70 different categories with common symbols for machinery, components, etc. is now extended with a “Custom category”.

This allows the designer to import any kind of custom made vector based symbol in .wmf format*. After import it is possible to adjust the colour and animation pattern, of the user-defined symbols according to their state (on, off, alarm level etc.).

You can import your own symbols by selecting the Animated symbol tool in the Drawing Toolbar, then locate the Import custom button, and then select the image you wish to import. Now locate the image in the Custom Category.

With this new option, you can easily import your own symbol in the symbol factory and add it to the chosen object state, as illustrated to the right with the large symbol.

Windows Metafile

Windows Metafile (WMF) is an image file format originally designed for Microsoft Windows in the 1990s. Windows Metafiles are intended to be portable between applications and may contain both vector graphics and bitmap components. It acts in a similar manner to SVG files.
