New Report command line parameters

News from IGSS Development

You can use the command line parameters for reports to run selected reports automatically, either as batch-files or through the IGSS job scheduler. This enables you to run and save reports during periods when the plant is not used as intensively by users.

Four new parameters have been added supplement the already extensive catalog of report command line parameters.

DESTPATH=<path>

The Destpath parameter allows you to define the destination path of the Report when saving the report as a file (Excel or HTML file).

You must specify the placement of the report file in the <path> argument. If you do not specify a folder placement, the command will fail.

This parameter can be used for report types (Standard and Custom).

The DestPath parameter temporarily overrides the destination defined in the Output folder field on the Reports tab in the System Configuration form.

-HTML

The –HTML parameter allows you to save the report as an HTML file. The parameter can only be applied to Standard reports.

The HTML file will be saved in the location specified in the Output folder field on the Reports tab in the System Configuration form.

If a location has not been defined in the Output folder field, the report will be saved in the IGSSReports folder in the My documents folder for the current user.

-ADDNAMEDATE

The –AddNameDate parameter allows you to add the report date to the end of the report file name when the report is run. The parameter can only be applied to Standard reports.

This option is identical to the Append report date to file name check box found in the Reports tab in the System Configuration form.

-YMDPATH

The –YMDPath parameter allows you to create year, month and day sub folders to save report files when saving reports to a specified destination. The parameter can only be applied to Standard reports.

This option is identical to the Use year, month and day sub folders check box found in the Reports tab in the System Configuration form.

Updates only

The new report command line parameters are only available for IGSS 12 after you have updated your IGSS installation.
